Saturday 1st July 2012 - my first 'Race for Life' completed! 10K
I was up early with excitement but having last minute regrets that I had not brought a pink tutu to finish my fancy dress outfit off. In the end I figured in the grand scheme of things it didn't matter!
I've been so overwhelmed by the support from my family, friends and colleagues that I was raring to go. I won't lie, I wasn't running the race competitively, I wanted to make this a day of family bonding in memory of lost loved ones. 'Team Timolsters' consisted of 8 of my awesome family members in total, next year we hope to have even more! We each share a cruel bond with cancer having lost family and friends over the past few years and used this as inspiration.
I was so proud of us all on the day, completing the 10K in 2 hours.
FACTS:
4,000 on the day, 3,000 did the 5K... 1,000 did the 10K..... 6 of those 1,00 were us :o)
Bring on next year..... bigger and better outfits, bigger and better results!
In Loving Memory of all those we have lost xx
